Canon Lenses together with Sports
Cycle the way to the new hope of Sports in Malaysia
World No 1 Azizul, riding for the BT Australia team this time, delivered an overwhelming performance, winning every heat including the star-studded keirin final for his second successive UCI World Cup gold medal. The repeat of Azizul's historic first gold medal at Round Two of the World Cup in Melbourne in November, came with a bonus of the World Cup leader's jersey he swept off the back of Frenchman Francois Pervis. being relegated to second twice in a day for Frenchman.
In the 1km time trial, Rizal held back pain in his right hand to upstage the Frenchman for the gold, taking his surprise first ever World Cup medal in a time of 1:02.268s, which was just short of his 1:02.157s Asian record set in Australia last month.Cofidis rider Pervis clocked 1:02.642s to finish second ahead of Poland's Kamil Kuczynski who clocked 1:03.020s.
Azizul's day of glory came sweet as he achieved it via a final which included France's Gregory Bauge (second), Teun Mulder of the Netherlands (third), New Zealand's Simon Van Velthooven, American Travis Smith of the Hawk Relay team and Australia's Shane Perkins.
A determined Rizal, 24, said he had nothing to lose and just pulled himself together to focus on his one mission right from the moment he woke up yesterday morning."Nothing else mattered and my mind was just set on riding all out to the death in my heat. I really wanted the medal, but I did not expect the gold," said Rizal."We knew the track temperatures would be low, thus the times would be slow. So, to get a time so close to my personal best was also quite a good feeling."
How low can the record goes? ? ;)
ii. 9.69
His biggest enemy now is the clock. All this while i feel like he is contesting only with his own. The question is, how low more will the time clocked in future???
The living legeng however said that the world will stop at 9.4s. For that, we could only wait and see.
Regardless of being surpassed or not, Beijing Olympic will still be marked as one of the most remarkable and historical event for the time being.
During the game ongoing which saw numerous of ages world records were giving a new mark. Of course from the most sensational 100m victory of the quick-to-gain fame athlete from Jamaica, Usain Bolt. (and will never forget the hertbroken defeat of our national top shuttler Lee Chong Wei tamely lost to Lin Dan in the final. T__T )
Sports in Malaysia in the down line
EPL
Malaysia football??
1) Dear all the royalty, policians please leave FAM alone for the sake of our future
football of the country.
2) Players, be mature la friend. Stay consistent and think big and ambitious. Some
achievements in your hometown or even nationally, ( come on la, like we did
not know the standard of Malaysia football right now) are nothing. Even a
clean sweep in the local tournament when comes a international match, its a
big joke. *sob sob with synically smile* :p
New star arises
Finally, a new star has born. after nearly destroy the dream of Tennis ace, Roger Ferderer in the 2009 French Open. Never left out, Tennis new star, (although i didnt like him much since i am the great fans of Roger Ferderer, a die-hard one indeed XD ) Juan Del Porto bounced back with style to agaim destroy the dream of Ferderer in creating another history in the recent ended 2009 US Open.
Winning 3-6, 7-6 (5), 4-6, 7-6 (4), 6-2 was a real upset for Roger as he had twice nearly can wrap up the match and add up another title in his grand slams collection.
Well, a lose is still a lose. Champion like Roger will never deny it but will only promise a strong comeback. Long live Roger. =)
*anyway, well done too Del Porto.
